About

I started in 2014 as a volunteer, teaching programming in schools outside Dhaka. Twelve years later I still work on the same idea: give young people in Bangladesh a real chance to learn technology.

My work is bigger than teaching. I build communities, start clubs and chapters, recruit and organise volunteers, and run the national contests, olympiads and hackathons that give them a stage.

I am also a full-stack engineer who builds the websites behind these programmes, and today I serve as Secretary of MillionX Bangladesh, working on AI literacy with universities.

Programmes only last when people carry them forward. I build the groups that do.

Founded and led the SPI Firefox Student Ambassador club at Sylhet Polytechnic Institute in 2015.

Built BdOSN's divisional and district volunteer networks and university partnerships, through district coordinators nationwide.

2014
Volunteer, Hour of Code Bangladesh
Travelled to schools outside Dhaka to teach programming to students with little access to computers.
2015
Mozillian and national contests
Founded the Firefox Student Ambassador club at Sylhet Polytechnic and contributed to Mozilla localization. Coordinated the National Girls Programming Contest and regional high school rounds. Contributed to the 400,000 Bangla words for Google Translate and won the a2i Students Innovation Camp.
2016

Coordinated Hour of Code camps and the Grace Hopper girls' programming camps.
2017

Planned and ran events, workshops and contests: Girls in ICT Day, the Grace Hopper National Girls Programming Camp and the first IoT Fiesta.
2018
Prothom Alo programming contest
Project Coordinator of the Standard Chartered–Prothom Alo school and college contest, and coordinator of Tarunner Joyotsob. Started Libraries Unlimited workshops with the British Council.
2019
Scratch boot camps
Finished the BSc at Daffodil International University, led two-day Scratch boot camps in Chittagong, and supported the Tarunner Joyotsob national finale.
2020
Programme Officer
Ran nationwide ICT training, including a WordPress workshop for 47 women students, and AWS training with the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority.
2020–21
Scratch in Bangla
Translated the Scratch interface into Bangla, wrote an introductory Scratch book and helped bring Scratch into the ICT chapter of the NCTB Grade 3, 4 and 5 science textbooks.
2021
Ada Lovelace contests
Coordinated the Ada Lovelace National Girls' Programming Contest and the Ada Lovelace Datathon, running contests online during lockdown.
2022
Children's Scratch book
Co-authored the children's Scratch book, led the Scratch teacher training at EMK Center, and ran the Girls in ICT Day CodeRace and the BD Girls Coding Camp.
2023
First Scratch Olympiad
Coordinated the first Bangladesh Scratch Olympiad, took Scratch to schools in Satkhira, and organised Bangladesh's first NLP Hackathon.
2024
AI Olympiad and software engineering
Joined CSL Technologies as a full-stack engineer, took part in the first Bangladesh AI Olympiad, and ran a Scratch session at EMK Center for people with disabilities.
2025
AI for everyone
Trained women entrepreneurs in AI with BRAC Bank, supported the national high school contest with the ICT Division, and ran the IAIO qualifier.
2026
Secretary, MillionX Bangladesh
Organised the National AI Build-A-Thon, Genesis AI Conference and Infinity AI BuildFest, and the Girls' Programming Contest.
